# Security **English** · [Português](SECURITY.pt-BR.md) Sabiá processes untrusted data from the air and from `.pcap` files (802.11 frames and handshakes, possibly forged) and controls network interfaces with root privilege. Vulnerabilities — memory corruption in the radiotap/802.11/EAPOL parsers, path escape when writing `.pcap` or exporting, privilege misuse — should be reported privately through the private vulnerability reporting feature of the repository on Gitea. Do not open a public issue before a fix. Sabiá is a tool for **authorized auditing**. Reports about using it to attack third-party networks are out of the project's security scope — see the **Authorized use** section of the [README](README.md).
